I ordered this parka as an emergency when my favorite parka had a zipper that broke (I live in Colorado so I have quite a collection of heavy coats). I needed something with a hood that zips up instead of buttons and wanted a down jacket. This really great value coat almost turned out to be my favorite even after I returned my restored parka from a makeover. It's almost as warm as my down parka, much more elegant and pretty and very well made. However, my only complaint and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the hood. It's very deep and when I pick it up it falls on my face and I can't see where I'm going. On the advice of my husband, I now wear a baseball cap under a hood that hides my face. Looks a little weird, but who cares if you're walking your dog?
