I bought this after my orthopedist told me he didn't have a brace that could help me. My shoulder appears to be very unstable, although the MRI shows this is not the case. However, there are many degenerative problems, including tendonitis, partial tear of biceps, osteoarthritis, cysts, spurs. That thing hurts. THE WHOLE TIME. UNTIL I bought it. It's not a cure, but it does provide some relief. It presses on the outside shoulder and won't let me down. I wear it almost all day. There is an ice pack pocket, but I prefer to loosen the chest strap and place the ice pack directly between the brace and shirt. That works great. It took me a while to figure out how to wrap the strap tightly around my hand. With a bulky shirt, care must be taken to ensure that the circulation is not blocked by pressure on the artery. I ordered the XL in pink. I usually wear women's size 16 or XL. I think L would do. If I order a second one I will plant to get an L in black.
