First the good. The elastic in them is supposed to keep them from slipping out of my hair and to my great surprise it works! I have a lot of hair that sticks out a few inches above my bra strap. My hair is not only long but incredibly thick in general and when wet it is very heavy! Ordinary hair ties didn't help, but these do! What could be improved (in case anyone from the company reads this): 1. They are advertised to people with thick hair. If so, why are people with normal hair almost the same circumference as hair ties? I like to wrap the hair ties around the ponytail 3 times so it's tight enough that I don't have to redo it because of a fall. I can easily wrap it around my hair 2 times as the tie is too short to do it a 3rd time without a real stretch problem. Add at least another inch! As they are a standard size and need to stretch for thick hair I can use them once maybe twice before they break. They broke the first time I used them. I'm not uncommon with all hair ties... so hair ties advertised for people with thick hair should be slightly larger, as I said in my first point. If they were bigger, that wouldn't be a problem. If your hair is of normal thickness, I would still recommend it for sporting events where changing the position of your cascading ponytail would be problematic. If you have very thick hair this is great. When I work out I let my hair down with one and then I take the second and go over the whole messy bun I did on the second and it will actually stay. Bottom line, this product is pretty much where I would like it to be, but there is room for improvement. The only other hair ties I've ever found that have a chance of holding my ponytails are the spiral hair ties, but even those keep breaking.
