The odor is strong and unpleasant.
It's hard to tell what the smell will be like from other people's reviews but I bought it without knowing it and I hate it. If you open the package and sniff it for a second, the smell is normal. But once it fills the room, even on the lowest settings, it's so overwhelming. It's a disgusting smell.
