with a big flaw. While there's nothing wrong with a square base, it's actually almost perfect, and there are only three small pins under a round base. So if you put a round coffee pot or anything else on it, it won't be perfectly centered. The stand tends to tilt to take whatever is on it. I highly recommend the square one and plan on getting another one instead of the round one. But my advice: avoid the rounds, especially if your kids or hand kids are helping out and might be the ones making one of the rounds a little hot. Buy what you need individually, not a pair like me.
