The company has good intentions and the customer service is definitely one of the best. But the blade is not forever. There are many flaws in its design. (1.) This is one size and the creases are not ergonomic so it took a while and the center of the glass cracked trying to put it on. I just taped it on and a few months later it was still working. (2.) "Sharp" frames "cut" my ears, so I have a lanyard on my ear, and the frames are on the lanyard. (3.) I didn't compromise and bought a special tinting nozzle for it. But when captured on a camera with the curtains perfectly centered, the video has a bright shot on the left that isn't obscured by shadows during the day. (4.) I had power issues with the first unit I replaced and also with this unit. When capturing video, the Blade would simply turn itself off. I usually just plugged it into an external power supply and everything was fine. And then it just turns off. While charging, it will randomly switch between showing the charging progress from an almost empty battery icon to an almost full battery icon. Eventually it stopped loading and I heard this constant clicking in the left frame. The same problem as with the first device. I was able to turn on the green light and charge it with a higher amp via a USB port. I quickly logged in and was able to do a factory reset "erase everything" so I know it's not a software issue. Shortly after that, the Blade just stops charging forever. I bought this device at a discount but it's not worth it. (5.) The DJI app in it can only record videos and take photos, no RTH/Settings/Zoom/etc. These were my everyday goggles and for less than a year they didn't work at all. I believe that this is due to a weak battery and the lack of internal failover protection. It would be nice if it worked for the limited things I've used it for ((6.) other apps I've tried still need a lot of improvement), but I'm not getting another Vuzix Blade. However, I'm eyeing the "next-gen" Vuzix smart glasses as it seems like they actually have a built-in camera (I don't like smart glasses without a camera).
