When you are photographing large and small objects you need a good light source and it must be able to work with a mounted tripod. If you really want to cover everything then it should be RGB to give you access to the full color spectrum and this little gem can do all that and more. The battery life is exceptional, the app gives you even more control over what this device can do for you. Bottom line: anything you'd expect from a much larger light source can be duplicated by this smaller version, and for the price, it's a bargain considering all the functionality this thing is going to throw out.
