This product keeps drinks hot at approximately 145 degrees. That's the good part. Drinking from it leaves much to be desired. The sliding lid over the drinking slot makes it difficult for lips to fit snugly in the slot, so hot liquid normally spills down the chin. The sliding lid doesn't stay open, so you have to open it every time you drink. It is difficult to control the amount of liquid when drinking, so you usually end up with too much hot liquid and burn your lips and mouth. The cover is not screwed and only mounted with a force fit. Will definitely fall off if the mug is knocked over or bumped. The design of this mug is terrible. The base is too small making it heavy on top, the handle is chunky, the temp gauge sticks out and looks chunky, and there's also a plug, switch and lightbulb tucked in there which makes this thing look sort of like of the mechanical laboratory. invention of the 1950s.
