A very functional way to add a 4K monitor to your system

I bought this graphics adapter to add a 4K monitor to my current USB 3.0 desktop system. The adapter was received in pristine condition and is exactly as pictured; Setup was easy: plug it into Windows 10, it recognized the adapter very quickly and plugged in a 4K monitor. I was very surprised how easy it was to add a monitor and be fully functional. :-) After using the adapter with an attached 4K display for a few weeks, I noticed slight display glitches and differences between using this adapter and a real graphics card. Most notably, the display supported by the adapter has very low mouse movement latency and some intermittent display artifacts. Most of the time it is not very noticeable and only causes minor irritations, but they are there. Display artifacts appear as intermittent static or blinking pixels scattered across the display. Again, not very noticeable, but still present. The overall impact of the adapter on system resources is surprisingly small. I was expecting an increase in CPU usage or an increase in power consumption, but nothing significant changed, which was nice. With the adapter plugged in, I noticed a slight delay in opening Windows Explorer, but this delay is also sporadic, although it can take more than 10 seconds for Windows Explorer to open (removing the adapter solves this problem immediately). Also, the connected monitor sometimes goes blank for a moment, but reappears unchanged - another minor bug that is not common but will happen nonetheless. Overall I think this adapter does a great job of adding a 4K monitor to your system. I've used it for general desktop like web browsing and email and am very happy with it. I definitely wouldn't recommend this adapter for users who want to play videos or do fine-grain image editing on a connected display, but it works pretty well for simple use cases.
