First, the build quality is top notch. Of the various brands I've tried, this one comes closest to an "apple" build. It's not perfect, but it's at the top of the rankings in that regard. In 95% of the cases the pairing works well. A couple of times I only had to pair one side, but each time it was quickly fixed by turning it off and on again. It's better than most true wireless earbuds I've tried in this price range. The sound quality is pretty good too. Sometimes these things don't have enough high frequencies, making them stuffy and closed off. Everything is different here: there are a lot of highs, bass and mids are also good. To be honest, I don't think you want audiophile sound quality in headphones intended for street or public use. On a bus ride or a hike, you don't listen critically audiophile, because the attention is divided. Wired headphones are more suitable for critical listening. That being said, I find the sound from these pleasant enough and have no complaints until I compare them to my $800 open-backed planars. Once again, the battery life is great. I only use them for about two hours at a time and the battery still seems strong, and the case has a large built-in battery that charges it quickly. Plus, the controls are simple and intuitive once you learn to grab them by the edges rather than the controls. But unfortunately, at least on my pair, there is no noticeable difference between ANC mode, ADT mode and no noise. abort mode. In terms of ambient noise, they all sound the same to me. The programmed voice tells me I'm changing modes, but other than that I can't tell what mode it's in. and I just don't get it. I personally think that's fine because the headphones physically block out a lot of the ambient noise and I really want to hear what's going on around me. But they're advertised as active noise cancellation, and the feature either doesn't work for me or is so subtle it could have been turned off. It's not clear to me if mine are just defective or the ANC is a lie, but judging from other reviews I think my pair might be defective. So four stars for the headphones, minus one star for quality control.
