Video didn't help

I couldn't install them because I couldn't find the pin. I bought additional pieces from Home Depot to support them but I was afraid my cat would fall with the shelves since they weren't on the cleats. The videos didn't help and since it was too long they won't take it back. Now I'm trying to sell them on eBay as I've spent over $100.
