I really like this cable - a unique solution to my problem.

. I know, I know - it's a USB cable, which is what I like here. Well I use it to connect my phone to my car. The phone sits in a small compartment, and without the right-angle connector, not only is it an uphill battle, but the cord is bent very badly, just enough to snap the cord. With this cable I can put the phone in any direction (the cable is reversible), I have more space in the compartment and no strain on the cable. I use this cable on a Galaxy S5 with an Otterbox case and have had no problems. Let it sit fully on the phone while the phone is in your pocket. This isn't my first attempt at a right angle cable to solve my car fit issue. Whatever your application, please learn from my mistakes and look for what I wasn't looking for before investing your money. 1. Pay attention to both ends of the cable. My first attempt at buying such a cable had right angle plugs on both ends and it didn't work for me at all. This cable is straight on the USBA side and bi-directional right angle on the MicroUSB side (yes, apparently that's important). My first cable had a right angle plug that only fit one way and of course the wrong way. If you're familiar with the Galaxy S5, you know that if you go the wrong way, you'll end up right in the little watertight door. My only suggestion for improvement (if the seller is listening) is the cable length. I believe the shortest version of this cable they sell has a typical length of 1m. I would like this cable in a shorter length (e.g. 0.5m) for close-in applications like mine or for applications like this Connecting a phone see a portable battery (laptop to hard drive, etc.). Makes it easy to wear

Pros
  • nice little thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but I really like the cable
