This was supposed to be for girls but it worked great on my old lady's wrist without exploding or other adverse effects. Seriously this is a beautiful dainty bracelet that looks very cute and would make a great gift for any older child or young woman. The strip looked like it was meant to be engraved with the name on the online picture, but when I applied it it looked perfect the way it was: the strip is too narrow to be engraved. The only problem would be if you were buying someone a bracelet. the "hard on jewelry" is what describes my childhood, teenage years and life in general. The chain is thin. Well done but tricky. For someone like me, a bangle or something similar would be better so it doesn't tear the second time you wear it. Not the bracelet's fault, it's just that the wearer may not even remember wearing the bracelet before it broke and fell to the ground. The bracelet comes in a gift box, which is convenient, but inside the box, the bracelet itself is in a plastic bag. Not very nice for a gift. Throw away the bag and put the bow on the box and you're done. A very nice gift for a young woman.
