I love this sponge. Long is really long. I would guess 2 meters. I cut off a small piece to make a dry loofah and the long piece was still long enough to make my back! I think it smells like fresh ocean. I found some seeds in it, but it really belongs to a living thing, so come on, it's not going to be a perfectly symmetrical, pristine sponge like a plastic washcloth made in a factory. The price is worth it. The long piece even serves as a neck pillow when bathing. It's soft but still holds its shape pretty well while still being rough enough to pick off those dead skin cells! It can be in a pretty hemp drawstring bag that I use for something I know. Very happy with this purchase!
