Review on πŸ’€ Tot Clock, White - Enhance Your Toddler's Sleep Routine with this Revolutionary Toddler Clock by Kristen Simpson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Let's say you bought this so your boys would have the same watch.

Say you bought this watch so your boys would have the same watch. Your older one has an older version. They're like, "Hey, that's cool, it's going to be the same so they don't fight about it." Not right. Fail. Right now I have two hysterical toddlers because they both want new and improved watches. Save me! bring me wine Okay, jokes aside, this watch is amazing. I liked the size of the old version better. This one is smaller. The great thing about this version is that the time change controls are behind the front panel. My sons LOVE changing the time on old clocks. I'm glad it's a bit harder to get to, but I'm sure that they could figure out how to remove the faceplate if they only had enough time to play around with it (I have 3.5 and 1.5 years). It is very easy to install, no instructions are required, and there is a backup battery for the plug. Battery backup is key here if you have power outages in your area. My first son now lives by his own clock. He's had it since he was about 18 months and knows to stay in his room until the yellow light comes on. I think it was helpful in getting him to sleep and he seemed to figure out what the colors meant fairly early on (with parental explanations). You can control settings and bedtime, sleep, discipline, rewards etc. / bedtime on weekends versus weekdays, what is neat. We won't be using it because our kids work the same schedule every day (wish they slept on Saturdays!), but for some kids this could work really well. If you want to discipline them (time out) you can press the red button which will set the timer and red face for the time you set. I do 1 minute a year (so my senior gets 3 minutes). Green light for awards. Click this button to receive special reward time (e.g. one-on-one talks with a parent, screen time, etc.). Dark blue is bedtime, light blue is bedtime. If you set your bedtime to 6:30 p.m., but the kids *have* to go to bed early one night, you can press the dark blue morning button (wink). When the kids are tired, sometimes before bedtime we run upstairs to press the blue button so they don't worry about not having time to sleep. "Oh look the light is blue!" Lol. I've tried other watches on the market and wasn't a fan. It wasn't easy to set up. I think this watch is awesome and awesome. They also make a great gift for parents if they don't have one yet. Note. I added an image to compare the new version of the watch and the old version. The smaller one is new. Definitely takes up less space but I like the large size for my sons age. I've added this YouTube video to demonstrate how this watch works, and compare the new and old versions.
