This bread box is of much better quality than I expected. I really appreciate that it is matte black and not glossy. It also comes with more bread than I expected which is very good considering a family of five spends a lot of bread! This was my main concern when purchasing because I have not seen a single photo taken with real store bought bread. You can see in my photos that one of the loaves is a full size loaf with room left at the end for part loaves. The bread basket is also deep enough to place a pack of buns on top of the loaves of bread while the lid is still closed. We actually bought this because our two cats suddenly love bread. Time will tell if this keeps the cats or if they figure out how to lift the lid. The lid doesn't latch properly or close securely, so if they figure out how to lift it, we'll likely be in trouble. But the bread bin is small enough to fit in our pantry for added security if needed. The wording is nice, and while it's obvious, I love the kitschy, vintage feel. Inside the box was packaging foam and another Amazon box with packaging around the original product box.
