Octo AV seemed perfect for my needs until I needed an ethernet connection. I've used it for additional USB accessories, connected to external monitors (both VGA and HDMI), charged my laptop (MacBook Pro) and SD cards with no issues. It worked perfectly. However, when I needed an Ethernet connection, OctoAV failed. Not knowing OctoAV was the problem, I spent hours swapping connectors and retesting the lines on the network. Everything on the network seemed to be checked. When I finally decided to test the OctoAV, I found that there was an issue with the ethernet port. I wasted my travel time buying new plugs and spent hours testing network cables. I suggest you check all outlets when you receive yours. I have a second one that I ordered and it's fine (checked all ports). I just need to use this corrupted OctAV on my desktop where I don't need an ethernet port and use another for my travel laptop.
