Review on Bubula Premium Steel Diaper Waste Pail with Air-Tight Locking Lid, Baby Blue - Enhanced for Better SEO by Lori Dahl

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Reliable diaper pail from a great company

update/replace my previous review. (tl;dr: so far, so good). I received a broken cardboard model from Warehouse Deals. I usually only blame shipping or the "open box" of the order for damage, but I was concerned because other reviewers mentioned the same flaw: a latch that closes the main lid where dirty diapers belong. So I attributed it to a genuine product defect and prepared to return the Revain item. But before I did that, Bubula contacted me and promised to fix everything. They claimed that some of the units actually left the factory with an overlooked defect and offered to send me a replacement part to get my Bubula working. I think it's just good customer service and not every company will do that, especially for those who bought a used item. The new cover was delivered quickly (when I was in the hospital with my wife, who by the way was having our daughter) and it was easy to swap out the part with a screwdriver. The part that broke on the first model has actually been completely redesigned and now looks much stronger and more durable. After just over a week of heavy use (on a newborn who changes 10-12 nappies a day) Bubula performed very well. Breastfed newborns don't actually produce smelly diapers, so I can't speak to their maximum ability to reduce odors, but there really isn't a stink in the room yet. Ask me again when next year she will start eating solid food. I love the look of this thing, the fact that the jar is stainless steel, the fact that it comes in a variety of colors and that it just takes regular kitchen trash bags. I believe a bug affecting a small number of products has been fixed and I respect the company for acknowledging the problem and offering to help me. They were really great in all of this. While I haven't had much time with Bubula, I expect it to do well as one of the best diaper pails available today. Update: Four months and I really think Bubula is the best option for getting rid of nappies. Friends and family often complain that their more popular diaper pails depend on proprietary bag fillers and the like, as well as things like broken plastic gears that render the cheaper device unusable. I've been using Bubula every day for four months and it's as good as the day my first wet diaper crossed the stainless steel sill. No dirt, no stains, no odors (except for the flavored/neutralizing kitchen bags we use). I'm a fan but have yet to test this with really smelly rigid food diapers. This thing seals well so I believe it will be as good or better than any other solution available.
