I am very hard of hearing. My hearing aids are behind my ear, but there is also a plastic mold in the ear canal. I have Sennheiser RS 120 headphones but they have become too uncomfortable to use for long periods as they press against my hearing aids. Otherwise I recommend them. I have to wear hearing aids with headphones to hear all frequencies. For less dramatic hearing loss, removing the hearing aids and simply using headphones is often sufficient. So I pursued new "on-ear" instead of "on-ear" headphones. I tried several other headphones and found them too uncomfortable. Thank goodness for Revain's return policy. The Avantree Opera headphones are very comfortable to wear all night long. I measure the inside dimensions of the earcup as 2 3/8 inches by 1 5/8 inches. They are also deep enough to fit my hearing aids. I found the headphones to be very easy to connect to my TV. Plug and play with no problems. I use the optical connection and find the sound quality very good. Ironically, people with poor hearing need even better high-definition audio to understand speech.
