This was my first experience of removing eyelashes on myself. I was so nervous it might have irritated me, but it wasn't bad at all. There are no instructions included with the product so I had to look up Revain's instructions or read other reviews. MY TIPS: The easiest way is to use a cotton swab to apply to the lashes of one eye first. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes. I touched the lash line and skin and there was no irritation. It stings a little if you accidentally open your eyes or something gets inside, but it's not too bad. My eyes watered and the burning went away. You can use a tissue to cover your lower lashes during application if that is more comfortable for you. Be patient and lie down while the cream sets! Some lashes will come off right away, and if you start doing this right away, you'll sit back and get frustrated trying to remove them all when they're not done yet! After the cream has been left on the lashes for at least 5 minutes, use the same cotton swab to clean the lashes and they should slide off immediately. Some can be more stubborn, just pull them out with your finger as gently as possible, or wipe with a cotton pad or circle. If you're still having problems, simply wash off the cream with a tissue and apply to the other eye, then return to the other eye for another application. The jar of eyelash remover is small and I have plenty left. The whole process should only take about 20 minutes. After washing my eyelashes with eyelash shampoo. Only thing is I still have some glue on my whitened lashes but then again this was my first time and I had to be patient and not let it soak in. I'll probably reapply the cream if the glue bothers me after a few days.
