I have to say this is indeed a 4.5 star rating. My husband has had a different ratchet strap in the past and liked the convenience of using it. So I asked him to try this Kitoulea ratchet belt for men. He was impressed by the feel of both the leather strap and the metal belt buckle. We received the Black-Style 1 belt which my husband found attractive and versatile enough to use in dressier workwear as well as casual wear. He particularly liked the matte black finish of the belt buckle. He said that this belt was slightly heavier than his other belts, which he says is a testament to his overall strength. The belt requires some cutting and assembly and comes without instructions. Since my husband had some experience with ratchet straps, he knew he had to cut the strap to the correct size line on the back (marked with lines 36-44) and then insert the cut end into the prong portion of the buckle. Make sure the leather strap is facing the right way before snapping the serrated piece into place. After clenching his teeth so that they sank into the skin, he was ready to put on the belt. He noted that if you're unsure about the length, he would recommend leaving it slightly longer the first time you cut it. He also said it would be a good idea to compare the leather part to the leather part of the belt you're currently wearing just to be sure before cutting. Worn once, the belt holds up well, serves its purpose and looks good. The only thing he noticed is that the release lever on the bottom of the buckle is a little hard to reach and difficult to operate. He said the lever was small and shaped like a hook, not the simple buckle spring he had on his old ratchet strap. However, he says it still works great and is very wardrobe-friendly.
