I adopted Abby from a colleague who was unable to care for his mother's cat after she had to move to a foster home that had 'no pets allowed'. After leaving the only home she knew and then moving back, she understandably developed behavior problems. To make matters worse, we already had a cat in the house and she was used to being an 'only child'. And she was a girl who lived indoors and outdoors but was only indoors now because I don't trust the traffic or wandering around our area. After almost a year of testing several boxes, with and without lids, types of filling, talking to the vet, etc., my son found out about our problem. He had experience with this product after working at a pet store in high school and recommended it. When the bottle arrived I made sure the box was clean on top and then sprinkled it on top of the filling. Went and found Abby, brought her in and put her in a box then left the room. She jumped out and climbed back a moment later. I started hearing violent scratching, and since then we've had literally not a single "inappropriate behavior." At the moment we only have one box in the upstairs side room and both cats like to use it. This is a large under bed storage box and I keep the linens about 4 inches deep. I add a little after each scoop and a little more for a complete filler change.
