When I first bought this product I ended up just using the headset and not the microphone that came with it. The sound in the headset is okay, although more expensive headsets such as the outdated ones or those from Logitech offer a better basis. I still haven't used a mouse. It's still in the original packaging but I don't expect quality and that's due to the quality of the keyboard I just chose today. As I write this review. This keyboard is the most flexible keyboard I've ever typed on and the keys feel odd and flimsy. Some keys look a little more depressed than other keys, but maybe that's just my eyes. The backlight is great, but the problem is that unless the backlight comes on, you can't see anything on the keyboard, and you know the thing will go off in the future. I would have preferred the keyboard to have regular white lettering on the keys. Even now, when typing this review, I keep hitting the spacebar or spacebar because I couldn't type a space or keystroke. You really need to iron the keys on this keyboard and because of that you can't really relax like you would on a good keyboard and just let your fingers flow. You'll have to pretend to have little rocks attached to your fingers if you want to type without hitting backspace too hard. So, as I said, I'm not expecting too much from a mouse given the feel of the keyboard and I can't speak for the mic on the headset as I haven't used it yet, but again. The sound from the headset is ok. Not the best headset sound I've heard, but for the money you wouldn't argue too much. I am disappointed with the feel of this keyboard. I feel like I'm struggling with this as I write this. I can't speak from a gaming standpoint because I don't think you really need a dedicated keyboard, mouse, etc. to play games, you just need quality hardware. However, it has a nice "playful look".
