This device is really an interesting concept. It works great about 85% of the time, but once paper has built up on the inner blades, it's almost impossible to pull the paper off. I have ordered two paper shredders and both result in the same problems. If you shred the receipt, you probably wouldn't have any problems. However, I wanted to destroy a multi-page account statement, for example. When I checked the shredder after each strip, there were no problems. But the chop is only about 2 inches long, making it ridiculously time-consuming to check every chop. If you try to tear off the entire page without checking between each stroke, paper will collect on the inner blades at the end of the page. It also happens quickly, so it's hard to avoid unless you move really slowly and methodically. However, it's a really nice device for versatility and portability, and if they update it with a new model that fixes the paper jam problem, I'll buy it.
