I originally viewed this item as having stability issues and it tends to tilt a bit with the clip. However, I've since drilled a hole in my desk to permanently attach it with a bolt-on solution. It was even more shaky and I initially gave it a low rating. Upgrading to four stars because I found that my cheap IKEA table was to blame for the stability issues in my situation, NOT the mounting. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the tabletop was actually hollow chipboard and was beginning to warp due to my overtightening and the sheer weight of both monitors. My desk seems to be on the verge of structural failure and I've decided to just put the monitors back on the original manufacturer stands and put them on the stands until I can get a decent solid wood desk and use this mounting system again. Overall this mount looks decent and I had no trouble adjusting the lift pressure with the tools provided. The instructions were easy enough, but you might find it helpful to ask a friend to help you build as it can be a little awkward to do on your own. My only suggestion for improving the design would be to maybe add a wider base plate and/or a plate with a bushing underneath to distribute pressure more evenly across the table surface for users with this or a similar table. Again, the mount is good, my desk stinks.
