Initially I was happy with the leash, I particularly liked the grip on the handle and I enjoyed using it to train my rescue dog (mainly for swimming but also for recall training) . The second time I used it, my dog (about 75 pounds) landed on the end of the leash and broke a few feet below the clamp. Well, she trains for a reason; she immediately ran into the woods and fumbled for 5 hours while I looked for her (eventually I got a call, she was dirty and covered in thorns). I am clearly disappointed in the product and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a long training leash. I think that I will look for a better leash, it seems that in this case the cost can correlate with the quality.
