Expensive Air Purifier Box

I bought this item because it had an extra filter and a special HEPA filter for pet hair and allergens. Quiet in sleep mode. And if you sleep on a level below the top of the unit, the front light goes out and the top light isn't as visible. Turbo mode is powerful but noisy. However, in the days that I was using it, a few problems arose that made me decide to buy a cheaper and simpler machine: 1) Size - I checked the size, but out of the box it takes up more space than I expected . Not a good size for a bedroom. And while it can be moved from room to room, the height makes it a bit awkward if you're small. 2) When I first turned on turbo mode, it kept turning off. I haven't noticed any problems since, but I haven't used it that much. My cats don't like it.3) In sleep mode, it automatically sets the timer to 8 hours, but after 8 it doesn't turn off! It just starts again with the 1 hour timer. It was on a 2 hour timer this morning and it hasn't even been 8 hours since I turned it on. 4) The box looked old, like it had been sitting still for several years. The instructions state that all filters must be installed before use. But the first 2 filters were not wrapped in plastic. The pre-filter top latch was not fastened and the first frame was slightly bent in the lower left corner. They looked clean so I can't tell if they've been opened before, but I was curious when the instructions said to unfold all the filters. 5) Looking at the filters today, there wasn't a lot of cat hair in the first filter - and there is a lot of cat hair in my bedroom. I also saw something I had never seen before - styrofoam balls in the last part of the HEPA filter. THE? Part of the packaging styrofoam was broken and was in the box. But if that's why the foam in the filter was, how did it get there because the filter was encased in plastic. 6) Smart mode only seems to work at the lowest speed. If you want a higher fan level, it will automatically switch to manual mode. 7) I hate green lights. Why does the air quality index have to be so high? Does the AQ sensor work at all? I wish I had this machine when the fires were active just to see if it could actually detect if a different fan speed is needed and if the air sensor is working properly. I also want to buy the "regular" version from the company's website. The basic version sold on the manufacturer's website is much cheaper, although it didn't have an additional filter behind the pre-filter, and otherwise it just looks like a layer of black foam rubber. The base model also doesn't have an extra layer for pet hair and allergen filtration. But the amount it claims to filter isn't much less. And you can buy a thicker filter if you need to replace your first HEPA filter. And although "manufacturer" answered the questions, I think it was sold by a third party. This model is not on the manufacturer's website. Also, it's now about $80 less than when I bought it for $393 a few weeks ago. Maybe the price is closer to what it costs now if my review doesn't put you off. Hey seller, can I get a refund for the extra money I paid? Can I get answers about things I found "weird"? Many Thanks. air cleaner
