Well I've only been skiing for 66 years (I started late at 7) so I don't know everything. a while! But I do know for sure that these Yaktrax boot protectors are the best I've found for this job. Walking around in unprotected ski boot tops is a surefire way to quickly ruin a $600 pair of boots. Plastic is quite soft and wears down, especially on hard surfaces like roads, trails, sand and gravel. So if you like your boots, get a pair of these Yaktrax. Scania; easily gone. They are strong but very easy to put on, especially good for old dummies like me who don't bend so easily after over seven decades. To put them on, simply drop the left and right Yaktrax protectors on the ground and step on the toe of your boot first, then press your heel down firmly. And leave protected. They come off almost as easily. Simply press the left heel down with the right toe, then vice versa for the other boot. Make sure you buy the right size Yaktrax for your ski boot. Do I love these yaktraks? You bet I do. But I love my Long Banshees even more and want to protect them. So: Jaktraks. I'm done talking.
