You are perfect. My ears haven't screamed at me yet. The back is SMALL. You have to put some pressure on it to screw it in. Sometimes they look strong. I got them because they're less likely to come loose if my child grabs my ears quickly and they're less painful if she accidentally headbutts my ear.
