I needed something at least 3' x 20' to attach to my carport to keep the sun off my car - in my open carport. We installed it with self-tapping screws with a washer into each grommet and it worked beautifully. Easy to walk under but the sun protection outweighs the inch or so someone might have to duck to walk down the sidewalk. I love them. Installed on the East and West sides of the carport. I noticed during our last heavy-winded rainstorm that the rain hit the cloth and dripped down, but the wind came through gently and did not disturb the product at all. Very sturdy. Extremely pleased with this product. I also bought another shorter one to hang (on coffee cup hooks so it can be taken down in the winter to warm the porch), in my vinyl enclosed screen porch to keep the sun out on the East side - in the hot summer mornings here in Florida. The temp in the porch was greatly reduced. The tinted vinyl windows do not have UV protection.
