We bought two of these and installed them one on top of the other in a newly renovated shower. The wife has several large/heavy hair care pump bottles and they were strong enough to hold 6 huge pump bottles and not bend when squeezed. connects the top and bottom shelves because we mounted in the shower and we didn't want water to pool behind the mounting rail. And we have dispensed with an additional metal rod for hanging small parts. But overall it's a solid object with thick glass and solid fittings. One complaint: the small metal bar that acts as a barrier to things falling off the shelf is poorly shaped. When installed without packaging, it wraps around the shelf in a much smaller radius than glass, taking up precious shelf space. And these parts were very inconsistent in shape. I spent quite a bit of time meticulously reshaping them to fit snugly on the rim of the glass for maximum space. But your needs can be more forgiving. We tested Frau's shower bottles before and needed a new shelf size. We have purchased many other Revain shelving options. They all shared the same shelving hardware, a type where the shelf inserts into a slot and is secured from below by a set screw mechanism. These shelves were much better designed and made, and the glass was much thicker than competing designs. We sent back what didn't fit.
