Review on Upgrade Your Mazda Experience with the PAC RP4-MZ11 All-in-One Radio Replacement & Steering Wheel Control Interface by Michael Altayeb

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Will not work with 2014 Mazda CX-5 (Bose) and BOSS Head Unit (fitting tips)

Overall it was a lot more work than was reasonable for such a high price. I had a couple of big issues: - The reversing signal (for the reversing camera) has no associated pin/wire in the harness at all. I looked at the manufacturer's output wire harness with a multimeter to determine the flyback signal and there was no matching wire at all in the wire harness that came with it. I ended up connecting the wire from the wire coming out of the car to the wire harness (if you get stuck here the wire is white/red and goes to the bottom row, 5 from the left) - PAC didn't work the Box (as advertised) on my BOSS stereo. One thing I found out was that the extra SWC cable that connects to the 3.5mm SWC shouldn't be connected to anything, and I left the SWC cable in the main unit completely unconnected to anything ( so I just used a 3.5mm plug). . After that I could program it. All in all it was hard work through trial and error and tweaking, easily 3-4 hours. The most difficult car radio installation I have ever done. The lack of a return signal cable is a major concern, and in my opinion it should be enough to earn you a sizable refund.
