Nothing more than a joke novelty as a body weight indicator or gauge

I bought this scale a few months ago hoping to help me to help with my overall health by tracking my anatomy while exercising and eating. I can say that initially I was pleased that I received this scale because it really helped to monitor weight and track progress. However, I have a scale from the 1960's that serves the same purpose as this one. They are both accurate in weight, although this is no more advanced than other scales based on the physics of gravity and the relationship of size to that gravity. The mobile app is great and very easy to read. Enough positivity. I was frustrated with the months going by and the physical changes taking place, but the readings weren't great apart from a significant weight loss - in 3 months I lost a total of 51 pounds, 12 inches from my stomach. and 9 inches from my waist. I decided to check the accuracy of this scale. Readings are nothing more than an algorithm created in his software. BMI is a calculation of height and weight. You don't need this scale to tell you that. Just search the internet for a diagram. Nothing will cost. All other measurements such as body fat percentage, muscle mass percentage, lean body mass, body water percentage, visceral fat, basal metabolic rate and body fat mass do not even come close to being accurate measurements. These are all algorithms based on two factors such as weight and BMI. How do I know? The first was when I was preparing for a procedure that required me to drink large amounts of water over a 24 hour period. I weighed myself at the very beginning. With each passing hour, the measurement of the amount of water I was drinking was getting close to the exact amount the scale was showing. Unbelievable, every time my body fat percentage increased as well. Within 6 hours the scale showed I had gained 6 pounds in weight and 4.6% more body fat, but my body water percentage never increased and actually went down by just over 1% with almost 7 pounds of water. For the body to put on 1 pound of fat, you need to consume 3,500 calories at a normal resting metabolic rate. Now before the trolls hit me, water is heavy and a cup of water weighs 0.52 pounds. It took me a while but I figured it out. I bought a tape measure to measure my body fat percentage. Based on more accurate calculations (you can also find these calculators online here), my body fat percentage on the scale was 16% higher than the actual measurements of the 9 parts of my body. The scale showed a body fat mass of 24.3% and the actual thickness calculation was 8.6%. Bone mass and density must be measured with more sophisticated diagnostic tools to provide an indication of a small electrical current through the thickness of the soles of the feet. Visceral fat also did not change on the scale. And this reading error became apparent when I did an MRI of the abdomen and took measurements that showed the level of visceral fat was extremely low. Heck, you don't even need that expensive diagnostic tool to tell you if your visceral fat has receded. Just look at my previous measurements and know that a person can't go from a 42" waist to a 33" waist without knowing they haven't lost visceral fat. As well as a great lab blood test with no issues with metabolic syndrome like diabetes. Why did I take the time to write a review? Because someone else may not be surviving the fear and frustration within themselves that is changing every aspect of their life and has worked so hard looking for a product that has at least some accuracy in the measurements they sell it for. Thing. All those days of worry and the prospect of giving up because the results just weren't coming. So my point is to save you money. See your doctor annually, buy a $6 tape measure and body fat caliper, and a scale that measures body weight only. All other measured values can be carried out free of charge on computers on the Internet. The most accurate measurements are taken with more expensive diagnostic tools like an MRI or a DEXA scan. There's a reason companies lure consumers into buying their products - to make money at any cost for the lowest dollar. Buyer Warning. responsibility to you. Take care of yourself and your health.
