I live in an apartment, so it's not possible to cut a hole in the wall and move the light switch correctly permanently. The switch was behind my projection screen, which was quick, convenient, or safe for that matter. With that, I could just buy an extra 12AWG wire and flip the switch around the corner, which made life that much easier. It took about 3 minutes to connect the switch, install the metal mounting plate and put everything together. Very happy with this product!
