This Q5 model is an upgraded version of Q3E based on what I see and more colors. I have many different brands such as Sony, Cowon, Hiby, Shanling etc but this Q5 really impressed me with the sound and video quality considering its price. It contains many features. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a cheap, feature-packed MP3 video player. And it has a working minimal internet browser! Pros: - Excellent sound and video quality (depending on the price) - Internet browser (minimal) - Packed with many features (videos) - Subtitle playback (in videos if available) - Excellent customer support - Virtually no lag when using the operating system - Decent touchscreen -Response - Screen protector attached (maybe better response to touches if removed) - More color options (Yellow, Green, White) - Larger SD card expansion - iOS-based Android Cons: - Not available in this price range Neutral: - Looks and Haptics like a toy (plastic case) - touch rewind/rewind button is not triggered until the currently playing song starts (it jumps to the previous song instead) A scrolling status bar should be used. A little annoying, but doable. - The player didn't initially recognize my 64GB Micro-Sandisk card (I had to reboot several times but eventually recognized it and haven't had any problems since). If you are still having troubles detecting your SD card, here's a tip: install a micro SD card in any Android phone and go to Settings > Storage and format the SD card. Then take it out and install it in Q5 player. It has to recognize it. If so, go to Settings > Storage in Q5 and clear the data on the SD card. If not, try formatting the SD card on your Windows computer. That should work. Comparison (Q5 vs. Q3e) according to seller list - Always longer battery life (1800mAh vs. 1000mAh) - More SD card storage (512GB vs. 128GB) - More color options - Internet browser (minimum) Overall: This is a must-have if You want to buy an inexpensive MP3 video player with lots of features. I highly recommend this device. I would give it 5 stars if the case was more polished instead of matte (based on the price, not a deal breaker as it balances out the performance).
