Review on πŸ”’ Spigen Stand Folio for Surface Pro 7 Plus/6/7 (2021/2019/2018) - Black | Premium Protection & Practical Stand by Damon Fuqua

Comparison with another Revain folio. Both are good in their design.

Much better than I expected. I mean, this is a company that makes decent products for all kinds of devices, so I kind of knew what quality to expect. But when it comes to new devices, there are either tons of accessories to choose from, or your choices are limited. As for the Surface Pro 7, you're a bit limited in terms of cases. If you don't want to pay $100 for a piece of ## bulky plastic covering your $1,500 thin and light computer, go ahead. Not me. The reason I wanted the finish is because it's so thin. I want to keep it that way. I went with the i7, the 16GB model of the Surface Pro 7. Anyone who owns this computer knows that it can get pretty hot. So extra layers surrounding your device is not a good idea. This is how hardware errors occur. Spigen should have thought about that when they created this folio. It covers just enough to keep your surface pressed against the thick plastic shell. Only covers the corners of the device and the back. There are vents on the top for ventilation and all ports are open. It leaves the sides almost open, your Surface Pen attaches to your device just like without a case instead of adding an extra clip on the side or top of the case. Whilst there is an elastic loop to attach your stylish pen or ink pen to write on real paper when needed. It has an additional file pocket on the back of the case when closed in a fully closed state to hold extra papers or what I keep in it is a microfiber screen cleaning cloth. When opened in "laptop mode", it has 2 indentations on the bottom, allowing your surface to sit in 2 viewing angles. An elastic wrist strap is sewn into the back if you want to use it in "one-hand mode". This strap is perfect for right or left hand manipulation, one hand holding and portrait writing is pretty handy for taking notes. The material used on the outside to cover the very hard reinforced bottom is almost the same as the same material used on these hard cases, if that helps. It's definitely durable and I can say it will last a lot longer than some of the others I've tried. It's really cheaper than another brand I bought and I will be back. Another brand in the same style, Folio, but the build quality strikes me as very cheap, the hard back on the other side is like the back of legal notepad stock. This one from Spigen consists of 10 pieces that are glued together and placed in a hydraulic press covered in epoxy resin. I like the feel and look of another brand because they're trying to match the Microsoft material they use for their font covers. If I could take a few features from that and put them in this one, I'd be very happy. Another brand uses soft but strong plastic to hold the device instead of hard plastic. I like this part better. Also, taking advantage of the device's lifetime coverage, it has built-in rubberized buttons instead of giant inlay cutouts that are really hard to find initially when you turn the volume up or down. Spigen is a bit heavier than other brands due to the fact that it's a hard plastic, an improved reinforced lining, and a thicker fabric covering it. The other brand also has a lot more viewing angles since they don't use inlays to place the device. Rather, it has those grippy textures in the bottom corners to attach to the fabric below on the floor where you have it. Set the display in the state you prefer. You could do it all over the bottom, not just the two little corners. Both are fully enclosed so you can't use the built-in sSurface stand, which I prefer. But when traveling, I feel like I'm better protected with a Spigen case in case it falls off the table or I drop it. So yes, I would definitely recommend this case to anyone who has this device and wants their computer in a folio case while still being smaller than a 1/2 inch ring binder.
