This towel is printed on one side, the other side is white. As described, the texture is smooth. It is thin and smooth, like a tablecloth or sheet. The first time I used it when I wrapped it around my back when I got out of the shower it stuck to my skin. I can't move it back and forth so I figured it wouldn't do anything. I took it off and switched to a cotton terry towel. I found that the microfiber towel dried my skin. Cotton terry towel did not absorb moisture. So the big microfiber cloth did the trick. I need to learn to "wipe" it instead of rubbing it like I do with a cotton terry towel.
