Wouldn't be my first choice for indoors on dark wood from an aesthetic point of view BUT we have hardwood stairs and our cute dog kept slipping going down them and got very scared to climb them, actually just stairs in general. Not only that, her nails clawed at the hardwood as she slid. Heck, I wore them with socks sometimes. They were the perfect match. I ended up cutting it in half vertically (we live in a three story house with two flights of stairs) and applying it with a squeegee near the edge of the stairs and over time our pup gradually gained confidence climbing up and down. No more slipping and reduced risk of injury. I haven't tried removing them so I'm not sure how easy it would be to remove them, but I've heard a vinegar/soap solution helps. Been using them for about 10 months and they haven't peeled off or anything! Robust and made for movement.
