In general I would rather buy a quality product even if it costs a little more, especially if it means not buying from China. I bought these shoes for a beach vacation where I knew I was going to ruin them so I figured why pay more for something I was about to ruin? They worked great. They don't support and espidrils don't. They look good and surprisingly aren't as inferior as other reviews say. I wore them every day during my 2 week vacation hiking, biking and going to the beach. I've washed them in the laundry and they haven't fallen apart. The sole is rubber, which I wasn't aware of before I bought it. Maybe not stylish or comfortable like other brands but good enough for what I needed. Bottom line: instead of destroying an expensive pair, buy them as cheap temporary disposable shoes. They may even last longer than expected.
