DON'T EXPECT TO RECEIVE THE INSTALLATION HARDWARE!

As others have written, this item does NOT include any mounting hardware! I don't really care, but I find it odd that so many people have written about it in their reviews and no one has taken that promise out of the ad. I know I should probably return it for that reason, but as another reviewer said, I'm tired of buying a plate hanger and ready to have my plate hanging on the wall instead of on my desk. There are other problems too. . My plate is a little over 10 inches, but heavy enough that when I hang the plate, it stretches the hanger too much, leaving a large gap between the top of my plate and the hanger itself. So I'm concerned that the plate might end up sliding sideways and falling to the floor, but the rubber on the teeth provides some comfort. Another reviewer said this was fixed by cutting off part of the spring and reattaching it. I'm not thrilled that I have to make this setup (because I'm not a record hanger maker, otherwise I'd make it myself first), but I'll give it a try. The gripe while I'm at this is that the teeth that go through the face of the plate are quite large. My plate is a beautiful piece of porcelain with a blue and white pattern on the rim. The center of the plate is only white. These spikes take away the beauty of the pool by covering more of the rim area than I would like. The rim is about 2 inches thick and the lugs are about 2 inches longer. Maybe sometime in the future I'll stumble upon a record hanger that doesn't interfere with the rim as much. Meanwhile, the hanger hangs on a plate. If that's all you're looking for, then you'll be happy!
