Dayton Audio 8.2 mfd 250V Capacitors

These are the capacitors I use to replace the caps on vintage KLH Model 6 and KLH Model 17 speakers. It's hard to tell if they sound better or worse than comparable Solens, and the Daytons are pennies cheaper per pair, so they've become my go-to choice. For a detailed discussion of my use of these capacitors, Google/Yahoo/Bing "Dayton 8.2 mfd Audio Capacitors: Perfect for re-capping KLH 6s and KLH 17s". I really like her. For the Dynaco A-25 I usually use a comparable Dayton or Solen 5.1mF capacitor, although I sometimes use 6.2s.

Pros
  • Specially designed for crossovers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
