This mouse was instantly recognized by my Mac and Windows computers and has worked flawlessly since purchase. I prefer a Bluetooth wireless mouse, they tend to be less intrusive and much easier to set up (plug and play really). It wakes up quickly from sleep and is still using the same batteries that it came with (kind of a miracle). I'm taking off a star because it's not the most comfortable mouse I've ever used, it's a bit small for my large hands (which might not be a problem for you).
