I'm a very practical person, but I appreciate beauty (as well as a delicious cup of tea) and this kettle is both practical and aesthetic! Being on the small side, he's not only cute but also handsome (his shape reminds me of Mrs. Potts from the original Disney cartoon Beauty and the Beast :)). I like that it's multifunctional; You can use tea flowers in it, you can use loose tea OR you can use a tea bag. I've used all three methods in the week since I received it. Tea flowers are interesting to look at when open. One thing to be aware of is that if you use it with loose tea or tea flowers, you will need another kettle to boil the water so you can pour the heated water onto the tea leaves. If you are only using one tea bag, you can heat the kettle directly on the stove, then add a tea bag (or two) and steep. As the description says, the borosilicate glass the kettle is made of is quite durable, so it tolerates boiling water in it perfectly. I did notice the teapot spout getting stuck to the glass after a few uses, but cleaning with a cotton swab fixed this. So far I have only washed my kettle by hand, although it is said to be dishwasher safe. The kettle holds 3 cups of water (that's 3 cups of tea if you don't refill it). It comes with a seat holder that has a tea light candle underneath; This helps keep your tea warm and also creates a warm, cozy atmosphere at your table. In general the kettle is excellent, a pleasure to use!
