I've been wearing a buckwheat husk pillow or a granulate neck pillow on airplanes for many years. You always had to take off some stuff, but the biggest problem was the volume of my everyday backpack. 40 years ago I used a simple inflatable pillow and it seemed much less elegant, but here I am an older person and I try to behave as long as possible. it is a remedy. Not sure about durability but even if it's only for a few years it will be worth the weight and volume savings. Blown pump, ear plugs and eye mask (won't use them) are a bonus. the price is higher, but watch out for discounts in your offers.
