We have been using this product for four months (it was a Christmas present). In the last 2 weeks, two regular Apple style charging cables broke leaving parts of the charging head inside the iPad. In one case, the cable's metal sheathing got stuck in the iPad's charging port and could not be removed with any household tool (see the iPad's purple graphic, although it's difficult to see in the photo). The iPad cannot be charged and is unusable. This requires a visit to the Apple Store. Luckily, the other cable came off cleanly and we were able to just pull it out. While this charging station charges devices quickly and easily, we don't want to risk broken electronics due to cheap manufacturing. and easily torn cords. Hopefully the company will cover the cost of removing the broken case in our iPad.
