Review on 6 Feet Silverback 12 AWG Speaker Wire - High Strand Count with Banana Plugs by Steve French

Update 22 November 2018 regarding: Optional Silverback cable purchased for Sony SSCS5 surround speakers also purchased from Revain/World Wide Stereo in our newly enhanced 5.1 configuration: I recently installed a 100 -Foot coil Sewell Silverback 12 AWG purchased speaker cable to install two new Sony SSCS5 bookshelf speakers as surround speakers on 36" Pangea stands in almost all of our Sony home theaters with STR-ZA3000ES receivers, SSCS5 also front left and right, SSCS8 in the middle and SACS9 for the subwoofer.Connecting the farthest surround speaker required 50 feet of wire which I ran along the baseboards.The SSCS5 is rated for 6 ohms so I figured that with a wire that long, 12 AWG would be the would be a safe bet for great sound For the next speaker, I used the remaining 50 feet of Silverback wire e measured and confirmed 100 feet of wire on a spool as advertised. Conclusion: success! Phenomenally beautiful, powerful and dynamic sound from all Sony Core series speakers, Sony STR-ZA3000ES receiver and Sewell Silverback 12 AWG 5.1 cable that just keeps getting better. Amazing sound that is close to my standard of quality, which I firmly believe is the result of careful and lengthy homework, acquiring the right quality components and ensuring they are placed in the best possible way in our home theater/room. As far as I can tell, it's the details that count. One of those parts, the Sewell Silverback cable, works great for our home theater. At least I know it's of very high quality and I'm sure the amazing sound we hear is the best we can get with our extremely powerful Sony and Sony ES components. There is no doubt about it. The Sewell Silverback 12 AWG cables are a perfect fit and work great with my Sony STR-ZA3000ES AV receiver and Sony SSCS5 bookshelf speakers on 31" stands. The highly acclaimed and acclaimed Core Series speakers sound great anyway, but with these excellent speaker cables in the audio chain, they just sing and sing over and over like there's no tomorrow! I believe the true quality of these connections, including the quantity and quality of pure, oxygen-free copper strands, helps ensure true quality in transmitting the intended sound from the source.
