I would run or play football in these shorts. They are above the knee, very light and have no pockets or lining. It's just what I wanted lounging around on hot summer days and great value for money. They are similar to the other Climtlite shorts I have, they are very light but I can see the frustration people get who just think they are buying regular shorts. You can't see through the navy blue I have, but I can see it's an issue with white shorts. I'm 5'5" and wear a size 29/30 pant and it fits me perfectly.
