It has everything you could want in an emergency radio: manual dynamo, emergency strobe light, emergency strobes, dedicated weather channel, weather alert, AM-FM bands. The sound is good for a portable radio. My husband carries it everywhere he goes to work, in the garage or on the street, instead of his car radio. We use rechargeable batteries in it and I'd say 3 AA batteries will last around 48-72 hours of continuous use depending on how loud the volume is. We got this to replace our old Eton as they are no longer made. We were very happy with this one and have actually purchased several others. Others bought them when we recommended them and they were very happy with them too. For what you get you can't beat the price even though there is no sale or special offer.
