Review on Logitech Advanced Illuminated Wireless Keyboard Computer Accessories & Peripherals for Keyboards, Mice & Accessories by Ans Brownlee

Exactly what I was looking for - another great Logitech keyboard!

I bought this keyboard to replace my wired Mac keyboard with number pad. I just never liked typing on this keyboard. I've used Logitech keyboards in the past with mixed results. They've always made ergonomic keyboards only to be compromised by software. It has one thing I need, a full set of function keys. And with Logi Options you can tell the keyboard that you want to use the selection keys for exactly that. So you have the full range of the Mac keyboard, from F1 to F19. Bluetooth was a plus - it's always good to ditch another cable. However, I had some trouble connecting to Bluetooth. Took me about 15 minutes. Of course, if I did something wrong, there were no instructions to tell me. Since then he has kept in touch. I figured I would never use backlit keys and could just turn them off in Logi Options. It turned out to be a great feature. I have a black box for the keyboard and the black keys against the gray board on the black box means I can see the keys with no backlight but it really helps me. I'm happy to charge more frequently. Of course, no keyboard is worth considering if the key feels bad. I love these keys, from the concavity of each key to the force required to type. It's hard for me to describe it well. I'll just say that the chiclet Apple keyboard was "tough". It was comfortable, but I never felt comfortable typing. Logitech feels "soft" but not spongy. The keys are silent except for the space bar. I came to the conclusion that this is the result of my thumb hits in all places. The clicking (it's not actually a click or click) isn't objectionable, and I can't think of a keyboard that, to me, doesn't make a sound with a spacebar. Finally, if it wasn't for the random packaging I would never have said it was refurbished. The device was in excellent condition. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone who uses a Mac and is tired of the Apple keys and wants to feel better while keeping the function keys. Plus Bluetooth and lighting. Worth every penny and more.

Pros
  • USB-C to USB-C charging - full charge lasts up to 10 days or up to 5 months without backlight (4)
Cons
  • boring packaging
