Pros: Case: I'd say the case is good, but when you remove the cables the mics don't stay in the foam cutouts so the case really isn't good; but this is the best feature of the purchase. Cables: Cables aren't even good for balanced output, so they're useless for balanced input. So cables aren't that great. (Honestly, I wasn't aware of this when ordering, but I was able to take a closer look). Worst Qualities: Output: The line-out is weak even for a dynamic microphone. Frequency Response: Terrible frequency response, very little bass (in the vocal range). On-off/mute switch: This is really terrible and the biggest problem with microphones. It appears that the only low and high frequency line output is switched by a mute slide switch. I hooked it up to my sound system and turned on the mic; Luckily the master output on the Mackie mixer was low or I could damage the speakers. When I turned the mic off I had the same bad "pop". Not even suitable for kids: I bought these mics to leave between adult performances on the kids' "talent" and "karaoke" stage (so I wasn't worried about them damaging my Shure - and could break Samson mics Because of the click switch, they are not even suitable for this use.
